Some of these reminiscing about old foods started making me think.
What food concept was a really bad experiment?
Remember the green ketchup? That was supposed to be a big deal. And it flopped.
What do you remember?

Some believe that it was the Coca Cola company's plan all along to remind people how much they love the classic Coke.

The Republican Chairman of one of the Committees had French Fries renamed Freedom Fries in the Congressional cafeterias in 2003 because France didn't support the invasion of Iraq.
I guess the French intelligence agencies knew something about the bogus weapons of mass destruction

After 9/11-ish, the French weren't sufficiently supportive of the USA's invasion of Iraq, so patriotic Americans "got back" at the French by renaming foods that even hinted at them.
Apparently, "frankfurters" were changed to "hot dogs" during WWI cuz we didn't like the Germans.

And the English Royal family changed from Mountbatten to Windsor during WW I for the same patriotic reason.
