Hi all,
How do I learn the art of Shabbos makeup-for myself, I am not looking to be a makeup lady and do this professionally. I am just looking to look like a woman and not a ridiculous monkey.
OOT- any YouTube videos I can learn from?
What can I use (not what can't I use) and put on Shabbos morning?
What do I put on Friday-what brands and how do I get it to stay?
Thank you for the help.

Hey! Whenever I sell shabbos makeup to a customer, I include a list of steps. You dont have to take a class- you just have to follow the ljst!

Not understanding. I am inept and cannot just follow a list. I need tutorials.

I’m a hands on person too
I don’t feel that shabbos makeup works for me but it’s possible that I’m not applying it correctly

Ok so the list is just the order in which to apply.
The makeup itself is fairly simple. The lipstick comes in a tube with a roller ball on top. You just roll it onto your lips.
The blush is like regular powder blush. Apply with a blush brush (that you set aside as you shabbos blush brush).
Same with bronzer and eyeshadow and all the regular powdery makeup.
Eyeliner is tricky, because it's powder. So for that you use a very very very skinny angled brush and stamp on a line.
Then just follow the order on the list so you dont end up mixing colors.

Please don’t all get upset at me, just putting it out there, I used to use shabbos makeup, thinking that the only issue was combining the colors and applying a liquid, until my rav (not a very machmir rav at all) told me it’s tzoveia-coloring, no matter what brush is used, colors combined, consistency of the makeup, and completely assur.

And maybe shabbos brushups by allison for shabbos makeup application.
Maybe call her and ask her for a lesson. She's really nice. Located in 5T

Never used shabbos makeup but yes this is the real issue.

Yups - I’ve posted this before. I asked two different Rabbis in different circles that are considered not strict at all. They both said shabbos makeup is completely assur.
Ask your LOR.

Lets not debate putting on makeup on Shabbos and get back to what works on Friday to look normal on Shabbos morning.
What products actually work? (I have found Maybelline tattoo eye pencil stays on, but smears on my lid. The Master precision liquid doesn't smear, but came off overnight.)
Are there tricks to applying?
Spray to use to set it that works overnight and won't make my face look like a Van Gogh painting? (I am a rough sleeper).
Any lipstick that stays and doesn't feel awful?
I had a Revlon colorstay, but it was so drying without the gloss part that it was better to just skip altogether.
I need help.
Thank you
