For the last few years, I've been using the Black and Decker Digital Advantage steam iron.
BLACK+DECKER Digital Advantage Professional Steam Iron, LCD Screen, Gray, D2030 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000.....3VASD
The company really stood behind it. However, lately it's been breaking way too fast. The wire gets loose so it shuts off every few seconds. Needless to say, I can't use it. The company replaced it already twice for the same issue; however, I am not willing to put up with this any longer. Can anyone recommend something similar? We use it at least twice a week for lots of shirts and some other random clothes, so it needs to be able to handle lots of steady use.
Eta: I see I recommended this iron in this thread: https://www.imamother.com/foru.....48863
That was a year ago. I had just replaced it due to a loose wire. In July I had it replaced again for the same issue- Black and Decker have me a full refund and I reordered it on Amazon. And now it's happening again.

I had a Rowenta once. It was pricier and we were really not happy with it. If you have a specific model you can recommend, I'd be willing to try it.

Rowenta is a good name. However, I found that they have some German made and some made in China. I personally tried 2 diff ones from them, didn't like it. Was too heavy and didn't heat up fast enough.
I think it's a matter of whatever you are used to. For me the most important thing was heating quickly, no dripping, and no shutting off fast (in case I'm interrupted in the middle), easy spout to fill, and the steam button at my thumb's use. The retractable cord is a plus.
After trying out several by Bed & Bath, I ended up with a Sunbeam I like for $18 at Target. The plate is rubbed out a bit, but that's bc I overheated a few skirts which should've have been so high. I also have it for a couple of yrs already. The main thing for me is it doesn't drip.

This is coming up as a highly rated, German made product.

I have the DX8800 for 15 years. Not sure what the equivalent is for newer models. And I don't think iron as often as you.

I've had it a few years, and have been happy with it -- light-years better than my old GE. But I iron like 10% of what you do.
