Hats off to you for being up and out that early, I have no idea how you do it!

Your body gets used to it. I'd rather that than work past 4 pm. The one drawback is I'm tired earlier in the evening and since my bochur comes home after 10 I'm never in bed before 11!!

I leave with my baby at 8 and come home with him at 1 (very short commute). Before I had him I used to work until 4 and get home at 5, I can’t imagine having those hours now.

Leave at 8:40 with my son. Drop him off and at work by 9 ( usually) and leave at 3:00 and pick up my son. My other kids get home at 4:20 and 5:00. This is the first time I have a break like this with just one kid for an hour. In the past I came home with at least two of them.

For those of you who get home late and have little kids, how do you ever spend time with them?

How do you get dinner on the table in time for them to get to bed at a reasonable time?

My preschoolers leave at 8 with my husband (he works in their school). 8:25 I’m out the door with my baby. I leave work at 3, pick up all the kids, and make it home by about 3:30.

I don't have a 9-5 job, I'm a parent...
I have a "When I'm startled to be awake, until I pass out" job.

(in addition to the job that's gotta pay the bills)

I leave home around 8:10, drop off the kids at school and go straight to work. Leave work at 3:45, pick up the kids and arrive home around 4:15.

I really really dislike the morning rush, but I'm grateful to finish work early enough so that I can spend time with the kids in the afternoon and have time to prepare supper.

I do a weekly meal prep so I just have to warm up the food. I often do this while nursing the baby.

In the winter I do a lot of housework motzei shabbos so I can be more free during the week to relax while my kids are awake.

I am not rigid about bedtime to be honest. My 3 and 5 year olds usually go to sleep around 7:30 but if its 8 once in a while I dont loose my mind. My 9 year old needs more of my attention so he usually goes to sleep around 8:30.

On a typical day, I leave at 9:00 and get home at 7:30. My commute is 1/2 hour each way. So I am working around 9.5 hours a day, but only work half a day on friday.
