The title says it all.
I want to buy a new shaital at a trunk sale tonight. I have 2 from the same, different brand, one is wonderful and the other is a lemon-the lemon was actually significantly more expensive.
How do I make sure I don't get a lemon?

I had the same thing happen to me. Two identical sheitals, and the expensive one was the lemon. The other I bought second hand for half the price, and the hair is gorgeous.
If you're not sure, take a friend with you who is experienced in judging hair.

You can’t really know..
You have to go to someone you trust who knows what to look out for
Tell them how much you want to spend and the look you want
And of course, if it’s cut well you will be much happier
Just want to add that often people find Shaitels at sales that they are more happy with than an expensive one... it’s the kind of thing you don’t really know until you start wearing.

I got one at a sale--I'm assuming the same as a trunk show. I found it helpful to feel it "raw"--meaning this is how it will feel when its not washed and not styled. I got one that I thought felt the best and I still have it 5+ years later (it's not my main shaitel but I do wear it frequently).
