Do any of you freeze a bunch of sandwiches once a week to pack for school lunches? I'm thinking of doing this. I'm guessing cold cuts need to be put in the fridge the night before, and maybe PB&J can be just packed in backpacks the night before? Are they gross? I freeze loaves of bread all the time but maybe I can PB&J a whole loaf and just keep it ready instead.

A relative used to do this with pbj-- as soon as she bought the loaf of bread she'd turn it into pbjs and put right back in bag and into freezer. They defrost fine overnight or even that morning if lunch isn't too early. I usually make at night on frozen bread (it's easier to spread pb on frozen bread) and leave out overnight to defrost. Don't know about cold cuts.

Yes you definetly can do PB & J . The bread doesnt go soggy at all .I put them in the kids bags in the morning frozen and by lunch time they are freshly defrosted!

I freeze. Tastes best eaten that week.
These freeze great and taste fresh:
Tuna
Cream cheese
Cold cuts
Sliced cheese
Peanut butter/jelly
