There is a lot of work if you want to avoid medicine. You need special furnace filters, mattress and pillow covers, frequent cleaning and dusting, remove carpet, etc. I went to an allergist like that and this was the advice. He was a good doctor but there are no shortcuts.

You can look into NAET, SLIT and various immunotherapies. There are supplements you can take to reduce reactivity, as well as gut healing diets. If this is for a child, there is an integrative functional medicine dr on LI that specializes in allergies and immunology, and he takes some insurance plans.

This is all just trigger avoidance. Nothing wrong with that, but not actually healing what's causing the allergies. And it's impossible to always avoid all triggers, there will always be something. Better to address at the root to bring down reactivity.

We travel to SoCal food allergy institute in California from the East Coast, but it’s a huge financial and time commitment. They do oral immunotherapy for multiple food allergies.
