Dust smell on clothing

How do I remove a dust smell from clothing?. Already sent it to the cleaners smell didnt come out

If there's dust in the clothes, they need to be washed with water. Dry cleaning is only done on the surface of the clothes.

Not true. Clothes are soaked in dry cleaning solvent in a machine like a wash machine. It’s called “dry” cleaning because no water is used.

OP are you sure you’re smelling dust and not residual solvent? In any case. thorough airing for several days should do the trick. Then wipe with a clean white cloth barely dampened with diluted white vinegar—not enough to make the garment wet. Test first on a hidden spot to make sure the color doesn’t bleed. If that fails, put the offender in a box or closet with a few bars of lavender soap until the garment absorbs they lavender fragrance. As a last resort, but only as a last resort, try Febreze. I’m not a fan of using more chemicals on top of chemicals.
