My husband went on an overseas trip for a week. I am so lonely at night once my kids go to sleep and that is from around 8 o'clock. I don't really have someone to keep me company on the phone nor am I in the mood of reading a book. I would love to go out shopping but I have no babysitter. Any ideas to fill my bored and lonely time?

Do you have any crafts that you enjoy?
I spent hours scrapbooking , watching interior decorating videos, doing needlepoint etc. That’s the kind of things I like to do when it’s quiet in the house.

Whenever my husband travels, I take up a new hobby or learn something new.
He was away the entire summer (from May until mid august), so I binge watched and read up about dermatology and skin care. (AMA- I know everything). I also went thrift-flipping, where I bought a piece of furniture from a thrift store and gave it a big fat makeover!
Some other things I've done while hubby ditched: redecorated our master, tons of diy, bought myself a sewing machine and learned how to sew (super handy skill btw), cook gourmet meals, deep cleaned my entire house (so satisfying), highlighted my hair, ummmmm cant think of more but there's so much!

Can you hire a masseuse or manicurist to come spoil you one night? 
Curl up and watch a movie another night.
Take a long warm scented bath one night. Bring your MP3 into the bathroom and put on a great mix while you relax.

Hey! I love your ideas. I'm gonna find out if we have such a service in my area. Btw I would be taking long relaxing baths every night cause I love them and don't usually get time to do it but I'm having my period now
