If you or your husband sell tickets as a career (like to games, concert etc.) How would one go about starting a business in this area. Do you mind sharing how long you've been doing it and how much money you make.

I know several guys who did this but only as single guys, and as a side hustle to make some spending money. It is NOT a career.

It's not a career. It's a side thing that brings in a bit of money. Impossible to support a family from this.

I know one person who started doing this as a side hustle but actually turned it into a full-time gig. He has that macher personality, the kind of guy that knows everybody, can talk to anyone, and has tons of connections. He roped his extended family into it, having tickets sent to different addresses and stuff like that which is hopefully entirely legal even if it sounds questionable.
I don't know how easy it would be to break into the market these days with all the apps and websites available.

DH has a friend who's married with 4 kids and has been doing this full-time for many years. He seems to do quite well and supports his family nicely and told DH that there's a few frum guys he knows who also do it full-time, but he mentioned that he can lose tons on certain events while making a fortune on others. He pays a ton for sophisticated computer programs that are constantly monitoring his inventory and adjusting the prices based on dozens of factors.
A lot of it is skill that's learned and built up over the years, but a lot is good luck too (e.g. if a team he holds lots of season tickets for makes the World Series, or if a team he's counting on to be in demand has an injury to their fan-favorite player). Somebody starting from scratch with a family that's counting on him t could easily get in a deep hole before he knows what hit him.
