I would like to buy a small, lightweight computer or Chromebook. I probably prefer a computer that has memory to a Chromebook, but I would consider either.
Are there recommendations of what to buy, what to look for, and what to avoid?

Don't get a Chromebook if you're going to want any sort of filter.
The OS is also really annoying, since many apps aren't compatible with a Chromebook.
In terms of lightweight, I love the 13.3-inch MacBook Air.

OP here.
The Macbook is definitely too pricey--I am looking for a budget machine!
I am not so concerned about the filters, as this is for use of an adult.
More recommendations?!

I have a an asus flip chromebook that I'm pretty happy with. It's more expensive than some chromebooks, but it has a nice screen, good functions it's sturdy, and it's pretty lightweight and compact. I only use it for internet functions and netflix, so it's perfect for me. The flip function means I can use it as a tablet or prop on the counter with the keyboard facing down to use for recipes and things.
