My 15 year old ds (chasidish) wears a glatte bekitshe on shabbes when going to shil . In our shil nobody wears a tish bekitshe.
His bekitshe smells of sweat every shabbes and according to the instructions it can only be dry cleaned . I dont want to give it in every week . It doesn't get dirty cos he doesn't eat with it . He only wears it to shil .
Is there any way I could wash it ? Delicate wash ? Or is there any spray I could use to get rid of the smell ?

A regular bekisha cannot be machine washed. You can try to spot clean it.

The question is if spot cleaning will make the smell go away . It's not dirty. It just smells.

1. Get a clean spritz bottle.
2. Get the cheapest vodka you can find or plain rubbing alcohol.
3. Use vodka straight; dilute alcohol 1 to 1 with water.
4. Fill spritz bottle. 5. Stay away from open flames and hot surfaces. Work in a well-ventilated area, not inside a closet or closed-off bathroom.
5. Test on a hidden part e.g. inside a pocket. Spray LIGHTLY . Do not soak fabric. Let air dry.
6. Sniff. If still gross, repeat.

Method 2:
Wipe smelly parts with baby wipes. Don’t soak fabric.

Either way, always test first on a hidden part to make sure color won’t bleed and fabric won’t stain, shrink or pucker.

Professional theater companies use the vodka trick to freshen costumes between wearings. Actors sweat a LOT.

No and dry cleaning doesn’t always remove the smell either.
He should wear spray antiperspirant on Shabbos.
