Can someone tell me the difference between shredded pizza cheese and shredded Mozzarella?

Pizza cheese is usually a blend of mozzarella and cheddar. Until this day, I have no idea why they call it that, because pizza shops use mozzarella only! I'd stick with plain mozzarella!
