I want to get a new game to play with DH on chanukah. Any ideas? Most games get boring when playing with just one other person...

How much time do you have? Some of the most popular games have a steep learning curve and take hours to play.

Are you looking specifically for a board game that takes time? Card games are many times more fun and interactive.

We enjoy Monopoly Deal a lot. It's quick and interactive.
Catan Dice Game is a new favorite-its a bit like yatzee-but with a twist of strategy,it takes up to a half hour.
Perpetual Commotion is fast and lots of fun you can buy a two player game
Or you can go with classic competitive games such as Stratigo or Othello.

Dominion, patchwork, star realms , Agricola, evolution, and I think splendor ( not sure it two people are ok or not)

Onitama is excellent!

It's a spacial strategy game that bridges the gap between the people who like strategy games and those who like shorter, more "social" games. People in the family who like chess like this game. But Onitama is much simpler and shorter, which makes the rest of us like it too. Each game has different strategy based on what cards are in play. And there's an element of changability that prevents the people "human calculators" among us from having too much of a tactical advantage.
