I was going to get the heavy weight down blanket from kohsl, but then some reviewers wrote this is only 5% down and 95% feather so it isn't what they advertised. I thought down was feathers? Any other place to get a good price on down blankets?

Down is the underside of the duck. It is better than feathers.

1. Down is warmer and lighter.
2. Feathers have sharp points that eventually poke their way out through stitching and through the fabric.

Down is way more expensive.
In my opinion, feathers are way better than alternative down.

Good down will keep you cool as well as warm.

Pure down blankets are really expensive over $300 even on sale. The ones that are mixed with 25% down and 75% feather are more reasonable at around 150. Is there anywhere to get a pure or mostly down blanket in Brooklyn or online for 150 for twin size?

Try The Company Store which is online. They might still have their cyber sale on. I have gotten quite a few of their down quilts over the years and just got a twin size yesterday on sale for about that amount.
