DH said he's thinking of getting me a gift for Chanukah, but he doesn't know what to get me. I told him jewelry (even very cheap!) always goes a long way, but he says that's boring and he always gets me that.

Problem is, I can't think of what else I want! I'd usually tell him to just get me a pastry or nosh, but we're on a diet. Ditto with going out to eat.

Help me think of gifts that I might want!

I know this sounds ridiculous, but it's the truth. I'm looking for something small and not expensive.

Small and inexpensive? I guess that rules out a Peleton.

Perfume
Luxury hand soap
Scent diffuser for home
Bathrobe
Slippers
Cashmere gloves
Coffee machine
Wallet

Not sure how cheap you mean.

But I have a favorite umbrella. I just love it. Would that work?

Or how about one of those huge reading pillows so you can sit up comfortably in bed? They seem big and grand so might make a fun gift.

Do you like going to shows or museums? Maybe tickets for admission to something like that. Or a concert to hear some of your favorite singers?

Now that I Googled it and found out what the whole controversy/fuss is about, I can say that a stationary bike would not work for my tiny apartment... besides all the other reasons I wouldn't get it. I'd theoretically like to have a treadmill, but that's not happening, either, for various reasons (and wouldn't be a Chanukah gift DH would get me, in any case).

My 25th birthday is next month, too, so he can get me a bigger gift then. We're talking something small.

I second the romantic dinner. I asked that one year and it was like we owned a mini restaurant. Felt better to me then the $1000 earrings.
