Yes, you know what I'm talking about. Those insulated diaper pails... It smells so bad and the whole room is starting to smell!
I would get rid of it, but it is really convenient.
Any tips?

We just throw wet diapers in the diaper pail and the dirty ones get tossed outside otherwise it gets too smelly

We seal dirty diapers in doggy waste bags.

Poop diapers go right outside. Sorry, there's no getting around it. If that's inconvenient, then maybe put them in an airtight ziploc before going into the pail?

I never got the diaper genie, couldn’t fathom how it could work, all those dirty pampers lasting for awhile in there...the stench must be awful when it’s emptied out

I’m another vote for taking the pamper to the outside garbages right away. I know someone who does ziplock bags and then placed into main garbage which was taken out nightly. That works too.

I would bring it outside, but that would mean going up the stairs (I live in a basement) and all the way to the garbage... it's quite inconvenient when I'm just trying to get the baby into bed.

I found that a pail full of diapers was too smelly, so I started putting all diapers in the kitchen garbage, which is emptied very frequently. Dirty diapers get double bagged before being put in the garbage (put it in a shopping bag, twist it right about the diaper, then loop the bag around the diaper a second time and knot the top--does that make sense?)

This is what I do. My kitchen garbage is taken
out about twice a day.

Throw it out! Those things are so dumb. Put the pampers in a regular garbage wrapping the smelly ones in a small bag first.

Small scented garbage bag makes a big difference. It totally masks the smell for a couple of hours until we get to throw out the garbage.

putrescible (or already putrid) waste needs to be removed from the premises every. single. day. Or more often if your olfactory sense so indicates.
