we don't really do "chanukah presents" but I want to get something to make it special for my kids especially since they'll have off two days... Needs to be able to be bought online. Ages 9 and 5 girls. I'm not very crafty so I want something self explanatory that I don't need to teach them as opposed to follow these instructions to take household items and make something cool.

What about baking Chanukah cookies? You can buy the cookie cutters online and I'm sure you'll still visit the grocery until Chanukah

Canvas painting.
Buy canvas, brushes, waterproof acrylic paint and gloss spray for finish look. Also masking tape.
Tape around masking tape randomly over the canvas. Paint different colors in each triangle between the tape. When done, remove the tape, it looks gorgeous, professional and ez fun craft for all ages kids (and adults). My 3 year old did it in playgroup. It came out stunning...
