Here is my dilemma. Would like to have a milchig Chanukah Brunch next Sunday but my food processor is fleishig. Would not want to hand grate lots and lots of potatoes. Need to buy a food processor to keep for pareve, but it doesn't have to be the best one and it could be a smaller one and therefore a cheaper one. Any suggestions?

My mother in law uses her milchig blender for latkas. Do you have a blender?

YES. She grates potatoes in the blender. Wow. interesting but wouldn't the blade break?

If the food processor is cleaned well 24 hours before and you only process potatoes in it, not onion, you can still keep the latkes parve and serve with dairy food.

I feel funny grating potatoes in a food processor I've used for actual fleishigs and then frying those potatoes in a milchig frying pan. And serving those latkes with dairy foods.
