What do you mean by a home spa package? Is it products or a person to come into the home and give a spa treatment?

Ok so that's why.

This young woman is likely not wearing sheer stockings so it's ok.

Also KJ is not the only Chassidish group on the planet.

I would get a nice bunting (like 7am enfant) or a stretchie/hat/blanket set with a gift receipt. I think it makes sense to get from a heimish store even if it may be more expensive. You sound like a wonderful friend!

Most Chassidish women in KJ would not go for UGGs - ask before you buy something like that. She probably has more than enough for the baby. Something for her - like a gift certificate would be nice.

I was actually recently at eishis chayil post partum and many women, including women from KJ, were wearing Uggs slippers. I felt so "in". I think Uggs slippers are coming into style because I'm seeing more and more people wearing it. That's why I suggested OP get it. They're so comfy and delicious to have post partum.

A jacket/sweater for baby from local heimishe baby boutique shop for spring or fancy blanket for spring.

baby swing/playmat/bouncer

A gift certificate for nice bedding set for crib

A fancy winter or spring carriage bunting

A fancy knit outfit for pesach/ with matching blanket

Chassidish only use baby carrier for colic baby at home or when mountain climbing lol.

I don't know if uggs slippers is a thing there

She is probably staying by mom for kimpet so meals will be taken care of

If she travels by car then a car seat and a playpen could be useful

So do they sleep with socks while niddah? Is this a chumrah/minhag or some sort of halacha? Sorry this is off topic, I'm genuinely curious.

Lol, you'd change your mind if you ever tried on a pair. Literally the most comfortable thing I have ever worn on my feet. I could have cared less about slippers before my first pair of Uggs!!! Once you start, no other slippers can ever compare:)

Oh wow.
Op, with all due respect. I live in kj. I’ve been living here for over 20 years. I’ve lived in several neighborhoods, with all kind of neighbors, I have friends from of all kinds, including some rebbish friends. Some satmar rebbishe children. I have family here. They ALL wear open toed slippers. Now I’m not saying, maybe there are those that don’t And I simply haven’t met them yet. But it has nothing to do with chassidish.
Open toed shoes is a different story. There are many (even non chassidish) who wouldn’t wear it.
It’s rather the sheer stockings that you were wearing that made them comment. Because sheer stockings is something that most kj ladies wouldn’t wear.
I really think before stating something as a fact, one needs to confirm that.
