its a pretty small pill and there’s no option of compounding it to liquid.
Any tips?

Very strict guidelines on it. Not sure if can crush it- but even so I feel like he’ll just spit out the juice or whatever it’s mixed in Help

I once saw a mother give a baby only a few months old a pill to swallow! She opened baby’s mouth, put tiny pill on a certain spot on the tongue and then closed the baby’s mouth for a minute. Then she checked to make sure the pill was swallowed! It was! She said that the nurses in the hospital told her babies will swallow the tiny pill without even realizing. (Her baby was born with a minor issue)

Find out. If you can, crush it into a spoonful of yogurt. Add a little crushed Oreo too so he will have some yummy textured bits and not notice the pill.

If toddler can drink from a straw, this works every time!

Suck applesauce to top of straw
Put pill on tongue
Suck VERY HARD to drink applesauce from the straw
Pill goes down effortlessly!

(This works for me to swallow giant pills I used to always gag on)

Two year olds have no trouble swallowing occasional coins and pieces of Lego. It follows that physiologically they have no problem swallowing pills. The trick is not letting the realize what they are doing. Hiding it in other textured foods is a good start.
