DH who is an eye doctor says to drop in the corner of the eye near the nose when the eye is CLOSED, and when the eye blinks open the drop will fall in. Or else hold down the lower eyelid and drop in the space there.

Don’t have any tips for eye drops. Re contact lenses, it’ll get easier with time. After a while he will get used to it. Especially once he realizes that he can see better with them.

My ds has contact lenses since he’s 4 weeks old so in a way was easier to put in. By the time he was 15 months like ur gc, it was just part of life since he was so used to them already. Hatzlacha!

GC=grandchild (I assumed)

When a child is born with cataracts, they get them removed and get contact lenses instead of lense implants that adults get when they have cataract surgery.

My baby is a little younger so maybe it's easier for me. I usually sit on the floor and put his head on my lap with his body between my legs. Give him something to hold so his hands are occupied and quickly pry open the eyelid a drop and squeeze it in.
And if possible, I do eyedrops when DH is home to help....

I also heard about doing it when they close their eyes in the corner near the nose and when they open it will go in automatically.
