it did imply that they would get married when he made up his mind that he'll go take her the bracelet.

I kinda liked it. I think it would've been a bit tacky to have the actual proposal/ engagement/ wedding included in the story.

I didn't follow rocking horse as a series and just read the book now and Just WOW!!

Literally no words, amazing book!

A huge stain on yidden of that era and amazing that Mishpacha is shedding some light onto it, even if cloaked on inuendo.


If you read the author's note at the end of Rocking Horse, you'll see that Leah Gebber does seem have this Zvi Migdal in mind. She even mentions Chesed Shel Emes, an organization started by these women in south america who she says were pariahs even in their death. The book is fascinating!
