My sister took and passed her road test in September. Three months passed, and she never got her license in the mail. She had waited that long because the temporary receipt they give you at the road test site is valid for 3 months. She called the DMV, and they said they have no record of her having taken her road test.
The problem is that the receipt has totally faded out. Any ideas of how she can recover the receipt, or anything else she can do? Re-taking her road test would be a real pain in the neck, especially now that she's used to driving "for real" and not just for the road test (you know, hand over hand, driving 20 mph...)

Does she have an email confirmation of anything? Check her schedule to find the day and time of the test. Have the dmv check using that info, including talking to all testers who worked that slot and checking their schedules. If she used a driving school car, go that angle- they should have the info and be able to work it out.

I'm going to ask her if she has the e-mail confirmation, but they already went through that time slot.
She did not go through her driver's ed instructor to take the road test.
