I ran out of storage on my Gmail email address, can I forward all my emails (some may be important) to another email address, and in that way empty the email account that everyone is familiar with, and start out anew?

Besides looking through 10 years of emails, what else can I do? Ive already forwarded all the large emails to another address and searched all my uniportant senders like department stores and deleted all those, and that doesnt help. I still have way too many emails, Im almost at capacity, after having removed a lot.

Forwarding an email does not delete it from your inbox.

What takes up most space is pictures videos audios etc...try to save what you need and then delete them.

You can pay 1.99 a month on your Google account and get a ton more storage. So worth it not to have to stress about it.

I used to search by size (search for "size:10mb" or similar) and delete some of those emails, but I ended up paying the $2/month. You can share it among other email addresses and it's very worth it for me, even just in the time saved!

if you have a separate promotions tab you can probably delete everything in that tab (or everything except the past week or 2) mine is all sales and promotions from stores that expire after a few days.

Check Google drive and photos of the account that's prob where all the big data is. Emails aren't that much.

I cant believe I have 60,000 emails. My pics and videos I transferred.

I discovered that I had a whole lot of automated emails that I thought had stopped but were really going into some folder automatically... when I emptied that out it made a bigger difference than all my trying to delete larger files. See if you have any apps connected to your gmail that might be playing some kind of shtick. I've been unsubscribing to a few things every day and I think I'm almost to the bottom of it, and I'll be able to go at least a few more years without running out of storage.

Wow, this is amazing! I've had the same Gmail account for over thirteen years and haven't come close to filling it up. I didn't know it's even possible! So glad to see this and know there are options, when I guess I do eventually fill it up.

You can download everything and save it to a USB, or purchase more storage.
