I'm looking to do a short, 1 day getaway. Shouldn't be more then 1.5 - 2 hour drive from Brooklyn. Preferably somewhere with nice views and upscale kosher food. Minyen nearby is also something.
Please share from your experience and knowledge. TIA

There aren't many options if you want food.
Deal NJ is nice.
My friend from Brooklyn "vacations" in Monsey. They stay at a nearby hotel and there are plenty of food options.

When we only had 24 hours we went to the city. Did Dave and buster's, broadway, eating out, central park...

Boston is close to 4, so that's out. My first thought was Newport, but it's too far, no restaurants, and not sure that they have daily minyan in the winter. To get kosher food and minyan less than 2 hours from Brooklyn, your options are probably Philly/Cherry Hill, Lakewood/Deal, Monsey, and possibly Stamford.

What about near Monswy u can stay in Hilton Woodcliff lake that supposed to be very nice and u r near Monsey for food and minyan and there stuff to do around or near Teaneck is some nice hotels and there you have plenty of food and minyan. Good luck and enjoy

get a hotel on the Long Island sound for a nice water view and Stamford has a young israel and 2 kosher restaurants

Deal, long branch, or spring lake nj.
Get room facing ocean.
Great food in deal/long branch.
Activities could include arcades or pinball museum. Pottery painting. Waking on boardwalk if weather Is nice.

We just spent a short vacay in Manhattan. Went to the Met, Central Park, Empire State Building, ate out, walked around. We enjoyed it very much.

You might also consider Atlantic City. There are luxurious hotels well-priced mid-week and nice views of the bay or the ocean. Decent place to eat but not upscale. Deal is over an hour away so you can time your arrival to eat dinner in Deal first then get to AC at night, eat brunch in AC and head back to eat dinner again on your way home.
