Hello Imamother community! My question is the subject—I would love to know if anyone has roots in Kaluszyn.

I never met my grandfather ah so I couldn’t ask him questions about Kaluszyn or his background and he never shared that kind of information with my mother.

I’m particularly curious about what Chassidic groups were active there, which one they might have belonged to. (When his family came to America, they stopped being Chassidish.)

If anyone’s ancestors came from Kaluszyn, I would just love to know in general what information was passed down to you about the shtetl, about what life was like there, and about the community.

This might be a long shot but I really love family history so I figured I would try! Smile thank you in advance!

I knew a Kaluszyner family growing up also Smile Definitely not Chassidish, regular JPF. No idea where they are now though!
