The one and only time I got it done, more fingers were covered in bandaids than not, and I never went back.
Now, I want to try it on my own.
What do I need to know?
What tools/utensils do I need?
I want a 'for Dummies' type of instructions and/or tutorials.

I don't suggest cutting your cuticles altogether. I've heard too many stories of it leading to infections. Besides, if the "professionals" made a mess of it last time, why would you want to put yourself through that again?

Thanks for that input. I'd still like to try it.
If I do it by myself, I can go slowly and more gently. Maybe do 2 a day or even divide each finger over 2 days.

I do. But you have to be careful and know what you're doing. Watch some vidoes and get familiar with it. Buy a cuticle nipper with a small jaw.

Thank you. What utensils do you use?
And what videos do you recommend?

I use a special cuticle cutter
Something like this.
Cuticle Nipper with Cuticle Pusher-Professional Grade Stainless Steel Cuticle Remover & Cutter-Durable Manicure and Pedicure Tool-Beauty Tool Perfect for Fingernails and Toenails (Quarter Jaw) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078.....05PP8
I don't have the long piece. Just the first one. And I only do it on hanging cuticles.

Cutting cuticles makes them grow back quicker and bigger. It’s recommended not to cut them, just to push them back.
