I think Dr. Dworkin - premier smiles - is recommended, but my son wasn't approved by insurance because all of his baby teeth didn't fall out yet

I'll never understand why on imamother people go anon for something as simple as asking for recommendations for doctors and such. I guess you don't want your screen name associated with your city, maybe.

Dr. Gift and Dr. Lewis both take Caresource--- Gift is a shlepp but I have a friend doing her son's there. Dr. Lewis I went to with my twins for a consultation and I wasn't at all impressed--- she told me my daughter was done losing baby teeth but she lost a few after that. weird. *IF* I do braces for my twins (still haven't decided--- girl twin is now ready but boy twin still has teeth to lose) I don't think I'll use Lewis.

Meanwhile, I got MY braces done with Dr. Walters who is not an orthodontist but a dentist who is authorized to do braces--- I paid full price, sadly. Meanwhile he does now take Caresource for braces in some cases (I don't have caresource but my kids have special needs and are on Medicaid waivers so they do)---- so most likely if we go for braces for the kids I'll try Walters first--- we all use him for dentistry.

Hatzlacha!

I wasn't impressed by Dr Lewis, also. At the end I'm paying out of pocket, because I didn't care for Dr dworkins office either. My kids are using Dr Arnold. We love him!
But, we will need two phases and all my kids are currently on phase one and Medicare doesn't pay for it regardless, honestly...
