Does anyone have any idea how to get stains out of my husbands kittel?
Can’t afford cleaners.

try to use stove top cleaner to spot clean it. Rinse with water right away.
Do it several times.
Good luck!

Check the fabric content and make sure it can handle hot water. If it has embellishments or trim, do not use this method. So let us know what the kittel looks like before proceeding.
Place 3 scoops of Oxi Clean powder in a large basin. Fill basin halfway with boiling hot water. Mix the solution with a cleaning toothbrush, being careful not to touch it with your skin.
Add garment, mix with the brush, and allow to soak overnight. Check in the morning. If there are still stains, scrub at them with the toothbrush. Repeat soak with fresh powder and fresh boiling water if necessary.
Once stains are out, wash in the machine according to care instructions.
I have to repeat, do not use this method if the garment is not entirely white or if the garment has embellishments, otherwise you may end up with no kittel.

I have had success soaking something like that but it's not expensive trim. So check the garment care instructions first, in case yours is made of more delicate material or trim.
