In Lakewood. What’s the norm for playgroup morahs and English teachers? I know that rebbe gets a check.

No idea what’s the norm, but I usually give a visa gift card or gift registry card.

Depending on the age of the child.
I like to give cash, with or without m.manos.
Playgrp. Teachers 50-100$
Younger elementary 36-50$
Upper elementary 20-36.$
Rebbes 100.$
Or as much as you can..

I’m in Lakewood and give $18 to playgroup morahs and rebbeim. The other teachers I give my regular MM. sometimes I give principals a bottle of wine and a nice chocolate

Has it always been like this that teachers get money for Purim? Or just in more recent years?

Rebbeim, principals and school administrators - mm is wine and chocolate.
Rebbeim 50-100 depending on grade
Morahs and English teachers - 25 (all ages including playgroups). I add something nicer to my regular MM like a nice chocolate.
Assistants -18
Therapists - 25

What’s the difference? It’s a tip for their hard work love and care. Even $10 shows you appreciate them.

There is no standard for these things so dont think youll get a straight answer. Do what you can afford and if thats nothing then thats fine too!
