For Purim this year we chose to look high,
And go with those things we see in the SKY.
No, we don’t mean a bird or a plane or a kite,
We’re looking much higher-but still in our sight.

Look up by day and the SUN is bright,
It brings us warmth it brings us light.
It gives us energy and makes things grow,
It dries the rain and melts the snow.

The MOON comes out and brings the night,
It glows in the SKY, so cool and white.
It shows itself a little more each day,
From crescent to full it lights the way.

STARS are really SUNs, just much further away,
Yet we see them at night and not in the day.
The darker the night the more STARS you see,
There are billions of STARS in our galaxy.

The CLOUDS bring rain which we need too,
Though they make the SKY a lot less blue.
They change their shape as they float in the air,
They’re fun to watch when the day is clear.

Now that you know our theme this year,
What each of us are should be quite clear.
Some foods we chose may be obscure,
But we’ll explain them, we do assure.

Dd1 is the STARS on a very dark night,
Dd2 a CLOUD, all fluffy and light.
Dad is the MOON, all shimmery and round,
Mommys the SUN, yet we are all earthbound!

Our STAR is a cookie-we baked them you know,
And SUNflower seeds the SUN helped to grow.
There’s a MOON with craters-also called a rice cake,
And a bottle of water from the rain the CLOUDs make.

Our SKY theme will now come to an end,
With just one more thing we have to send.
And that’s our wishes for a Purim filled with fun.
From the Shanie5 household-you know the one.

(I changed our names for privacy)

It was amazing!
I checked the weather and it said rain ALL DAY. We had also tried to get company for the seuda but no luck.

Well, the rain did not come-I heard it drizzled a bit-but not while we were out delivering.
And we ended up with 2 guests and had a really great time.
We also were able to deliver all our shalach manos stress free. And that was impressive too.
