Why wait until the school decides? Shouldn't we decide what's best for our kids and ourselves and keep them home.

Especially if we aren't young. Our kids can put us in danger..!

Our kids are not putting us in danger
The adults are.
Stop this hysteria already.

Nice try!

Our kids can come home carrying the virus and yes, we will catch it!

For them it's a cold, for us, it's a lot worse!

In a society where parents have no voice, it is the schools responsibility to make the safe choice. However, its time for parents to recognize that if you don't protect your children, nobody will. I am keeping the kids home.

Closing the schools will do more harm than good.
People will get the virus regardless. There's no point in closing the schools.

Yes, please be proactive!! It is the least you can do for your community.

The risk is not to you per se. It is to all our DR's, nurses, emt's, first responders, grandparents, asthmatics of all ages, immunocompromised of all ages.

You can help save their lives by being part of not overworking the system.

The system is not equipped to receive dozens of pneumonia cases on a daily basis for weeks on end.

It is not getting it that is the problem for the young and healthy. You miss the danger aspect with that entirely. The hospitals aren't going to be able to save saveable lives if we all get it at once. Period. It must be slowed. A lot.

Aha, so kids are the problem here?

Im glad you think you are protecting yourself through them. Nice try, but its not the solution to a worlwide virus thats affecting adults at a much greater rate.

OP, are you keeping your kids home?
Are you staying home? No shopping or public places?

Its good to eat healthy
Its good to practice hygiene
But it still doesnt guarantee you wont ever get sick. There are plenty people who got sick, despite being healthy...

You can take precautions. Avoid close contact to people. Soap hands. Daven.
You can't prevent a virus if it's in the air...
Keeping kids home for so long is also very unhealthy. And it still won't guarantee that you won't get the virus. And if society doesn't continue functioning, we are at risk for many other problems...

You just directly hit the point of misinformation.

For healthy adults under 60, it is simply not "a lot worse".

I realize this is not in line with the mass hysteria the media has created, but research the data yourself. Shouldn't take more than 5 minutes. Try,

I've got a bad cold so my husband is doing the grocery shopping and we're both working from home. So yes, we're doing our part.

Why shouldn't we?

Again, why wait until the school tells us what to do?

Yes, this.

The flu has caused way more casualties this year than the coronovirus has or will.

Good that youre able to. Not everyone has the option of working at home.

Btw I also had a bad cold last week, it went away...

You still didn't mention your own kids, so I'm assuming they are still in school.
If you think it's such a horrible thing for kids to still be in school, make a statement by keeping your own kids home.

Feel better, though.

Yes, there are kids who's parents are close to ”that” age and they're teachers are even older!

I find it odd, that you use the word ”hysteria” what do you mean?
