I keep losing the velvet headbands I wear under my sheitals and then my wig keeps slipping back throughout the day because I haven't had time to replace it what with everything closing now. A friend told me her sheital macher sewed it on the inside of her sheital.

Anyone have experience with this? Does it feel the same? How long does that last?

you got it sewn in? how long have you had it for?

I have mine sewn in and it's amazing I never have to worry about it slipping or be busy with extra steps in the morning. I never had a velvet band before though so I cant compare.

I have mine for 3 years and wear it daily.

I don’t wanna hi jack but I wish someone could tell me how to sew one in to my tichel/kerchief without the seam showing thru on top? Or is the seam showing the only way to do it?

If your tichel has multiple layers you could carefully hand stitch to just the inner layer and it would be totally invisible. If it’s a single layer then there will always be some thread showing on top but you can really minimize it by using a blind stitch. There are plenty of instructions online for how to do that, either by machine or by hand.

I’ve been wearing it for a few months.
It’s much more comfortable than a regular velvet bend because it’s not tight. It’s only from ear to ear instead of around your whole head. And I don’t need the comb on top anymore which always gave me headaches.
I still use the clips but those don’t bother me, and it could be I don’t really need them but I just like the extra security.
