I’m quarantined and the stores either aren’t delivering or are very delayed (by almost a week). I have what I need for now, and made an order, but what if I need things sooner? People keep saying to use delivery and not go to the store, but that doesn’t even seem to be an option?

Do you have someone who can shop for you and leave it at your door?

Can you put in an Amazon order for essentials to be delivered in 2 days? Things like pretzels, oatmeal, tuna, detergent, etc.

IME, much of Amazon prime has changed from 2 days to 4.

Also, call the supermarkets. They might prioritize quarantined people if you ask.

Give them your list and ask them to add it to the line so you at least have a place.
Call every store not just the big ones - picnic, foodex, stop n shop, kosher west, aisle 9. Tons of stores do deliveries. You are much more likely to get a spot then npgs or gourmet glatt.
Call a neighbor.

Have you tried uber. The grocery could do the order for pickup.

Or what about a car service.

I have instacart but delivery is next week when I ordered yesterday. Luckily I had placed a Costco order last Thursday which was delivered yesterday so I have food for the week.

With instacart, once you have ordered and are scheduled. You can add to the order so I ordered Ed yesterday for delivery next week and I am continuing to add to the order this week.

Picnic is doing a great job with deliveries. I keep ordering from there.

Npgs still takes phone orders after they close online ordering.

Aisle 9 was doing deliveries today. (Was still taking orders at 9:30)

Smaller stores are more likely to have availability.

Update:
I ordered from picnic but they didn't have most of what I ordered (basics like pans, meat, chicken). Luckily they did have eggs and milk.

I ordered from NPGS on Monday, still waiting to hear from them that my order is ready for pickup.

Tomorrow will be 3 days fever free -+ a week since start of symptoms + symptoms are improving so if nothing comes by tomorrow I will go to the supermarket myself.
Are Lakewood stores crazy packed???

Ask a neighbor or a friend. You can pay them back with Zelle or Paypal. and they can leave it on your doorstep/porch.

I order from Kosher Village on Sunday and they delivered on Tuesday. As others have said, try smaller stores. DO NOT go to the store if you’re only symptom-free for 3 days. There are also people who are willing to go grocery shopping for you for a fee. I ordered staples from Target, they have same day delivery for $9.99.

Why not, if that's what the experts advise?

Most drs say 72h symptom free (and ar least 7 days after starting symptoms!) is considered not contagious anymore!
It's actually safer for OP than for all the other shoppers that didn't get the virus yet!!
