Jewish/yom tov related? Or you just want some crafts? Amazon is great for the latter.

Check out Diamond art. Takes a lot of time and patience but creates beautiful art work!

Just ordered this form my son. I hope it'll keep him busy for a while.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/prod.....psc=1

There are some cheaper ones, too. Make sure to check the delivery time before you order. Some of them (especially the cheap ones) will take weeks to arrive.

How old is your son? The problem that I found with these cheap wooden sets is that the instructions are virtually non existent. Be ready to sit with your child and do it together.
I did some today with my kids (not these exact but they all basically come from the same Chinese factory) and it took us hours to figure it out. They'd never be able to do it alone.
I had a good time doing it, but I'd definitely appreciate it more if it had step by step clear instructions.

If your kids (5 and up) enjoy making tiny Lego things this is a great product. It's not a huge project - each is a standalone.
It takes time and focus but it's not hard to get it done by themselves which makes the kids feel good.

There are many variables of this item on Amazon and there are cheaper ones also.

Each comes in a separate box with instructions. This kept my children busy last year during Pesach vacation.
They ended up making an Ark for all of the finished peices.

LOVE THIS SITE!

Tons of fun science experiments for all ages. Non toxic, around the the house ingredients for the most part. Online tutorials and videos, free projects, and low cost kits you can order.

The jelly marbles were my daughter's favorite. I think they kept her busy for about a month straight! She shared them with every kid in the neighborhood, and they were extremely popular. Very Happy

If you home school, they even have teacher's guides and school packs.

You're right. This one turned out to be both complicated and flimsy. My son is 8 and needed a LOT of help. I think I did more than he did.

But I got This one for my 10 year old. The pieces are much sturdier and the pieces fit so snugly together that once assembled, they don't fall apart. It also comes with clear step-by-step picture instructions. It kept my son busy for 2 days and only needed minimal help.

If I order more, I'll definitely only be ordering from this company.

If you have access to an iPad there are some free Apps that are fun.

There are digital coloring books which are free. You can download several as there are lots of free ones available.

There are jigsaw puzzles that are free. I use the free ones but if you purchase the App there is the ability to use your own art of photos as the basis for the puzzle. Also you can adjust the difficulty in terms of having many "pieces" the puzzle has. You can store puzzles in progress so that different users can work on different puzzles if need be.

I confess that I do puzzles to have something to do with my hands to relieve nervous energy. They don't require a lot of thinking but enable me to relax a bit.

The puzzle site jigsawexplorer.com is great. My kids love it! And I feel like they're using their brain a bit not just playing mindless games.

There are also word games and I would suspect math games as well. I used to work for an educational software company. I used to chuckle inside when my kids would play with the educational games and think they were just games. LOL
