Wondering how to do laundry in apartment building. I have gloves and a mask with a plastic eye shield and I would go at an off-hour. Can't think of anything else and have no one to help.

I think my mother is going to be handwashing her clothes in her bathtub and hanging it all to dry. But she only has her own laundry to wash, so it’s doable.

Is coronavirus catchable from shared washers? Does one have to use hot water or does the dryer kill anything? What about for items that can't go in hot water and the dryer?

Does her community have laundry pick up and delivery?
She can wash underwear and stockings by hand.

I called to try to get a Home Health aide to pick up and return the laundry from outside the door.

I'm younger but dont have a washer/dryer in my building and have to go to a laundromat to do laundry. If it closes then I will have no way to do laundry so we are in the same boat here. I guess its time for those old school way of washing laundry by hand. Who would have thought that to happen in 2020?

The laundromat near me had a fire yesterday from someone trying to 'disinfect' a machine before using it. Don't use things that aren't appliance friendly.
