I heard redheads don’t get it. Which doesn’t make sense because I’m a redhead and I think I have it.

But only if they pass it to 10 friends within 10 minutes.

Snopes rated this one unproven

The paper is a preliminary draft, it has not been peer-reviewed or published.
The authors of the paper themselves said it should not be used to guide clinical practice.

The study didn't say people with Type-O blood never get infected, only that they are less likely to.

Im A, was exposed to someone several weeks ago who tested positive 2 days later. I had a sore throat mild cough, no fever. Sounds bogus to me, not that it makes an actual difference in any case

The fact that blood-type correlates with certain diseases is not new. Many diseases distribute disproportionately among the blood types.

Nobody said that only certain blood types get it, or that people with other blood types never get it. The scientists noticed that all blood types do indeed get the disease, they are talking about relative percentages.

Not sure why this is being contested here so aggressively.....

Blood type O is definitely not less common. Google it.

But that's completely besides the point. Math allows people to compare groups even when the groups are different sizes.

So if I said more one year olds in my neighborhood wear diapers than twenty year olds, you wouldn't say oh, that's because there are only 100 one year olds, but there are 1000 twenty year olds. I think you'd probably realize that even if we mathematically adjusted for the different sized groups, there would still be more one year olds wearing diapers.
