Rabbi Malech said in a speech this week: Why is it that only in times of crisis are we all convinced that moshiach is coming? Why isn't it that when it's a beautiful day out, everything is going fine, you have a big vacation planned, why don't we say then that moshiach as coming?? Why do we go into frenzy only when in crisis? Why can't moshiach come when everything is going well?? Because we are SO COMFORTABLE HERE WITH OUR LIVES! And when crisis happens and our comfort gets disrupted, we go into a frenzy that moshiach is coming.
"Im kul zeh achaka lo B'chol yom!"

Nice.
The truth is though that many of us are programmed that Moshiach will come when something big or weird happens. When things go out of the ordinary. But his point is well taken.
Either way, at this point, may he just show up and get us out of here. FAST!

This is what I keep trying to say. To which ppl respond stop being so cynical. We don’t need corona virus for Mashiach to come! We need him to come today and we needed him to come a month ago!

So true.
Like R Yankel Miller says 'Every time before moshiach comes, these things happen...'
We do believe though that it is meant for a wake up call for us to appreciate our lives and actually hope and pray for moshiach every day!
