I love you! This is the best idea I’ve ever heard! Can’t wait to do a show and tell for my son.
I leave the cleaning for Erev Shabbos, so I only need to do it once a week TMI

ha ha, but watch out before your son takes the sprayer and floods your kitchen Wink

Our floor was so filthy, I got down on my knees with a rag. I haven't done that in I don't know how long. Thank God for those cleaning knee pads I bought a feel months ago, otherwise I wouldn't have lasted 60 seconds on my knees.

My 2yo son dumped everyone's cereal on the floor. I immediately asked my kids (ages 4, 2, and 2), "who wants to play "Puppies?" and explained that puppies eat off the floor. It was a double win, because they probably ate more breakfast that way than they usually do.

(For the germaphobes among us.... they eat stuff off the floor all day long anyway, we are properly socially distancing and nobody else comes over, so it's their own gosh darn germs on that floor to begin with!)

this is hysterical LOL

I call it “the mother in law clean up.” Before your mother in law comes, stuff everything that’s cluttering up your house into one closet. Push door shut and daven that no one opens it!

LOL

I don’t have a sprayer- so I take mr clean & pour on random spots- especially heavy soiled areas. Then pour some water on the floor and wipe around with miracle mop.
Best though is to use a swiffer!

I remember the highchair years, when it seemed like I could save so much time if I'd just rub the food into their faces and hair for them. I'm convinced that's how they absorbed 75+% of their nutrients but I have no proof.

My husband decided he wants to organize the laundry room so he dumped everything on the kitchen counter. At least we have a clean laundry room 🤷🏼‍♀️

This thread reminds me of Frank Gilbreth of Cheaper by the Dozen. He was an efficiency expert. And when a company or factory hired him as a consultant he would instruct them to direct him to the laziest worker so that he can learn efficiency tips from him. LOL

My laziest shortcut is that I don't have patience to clean 5 bowls when I'm baking/cooking, so I take a big disposable pan and just do whatever I have to do in there.
When I'm finished, it goes in the garbage and there's almost nothing to clean!

I do this too! Not the boiling water part, but I skate around to clean the floors. Smile

Many years ago I was a Shabbos guest in a home where the husband was in charge of washing the dishes Friday night while the wife put the kids to bed.

He soaped everything, stacked them in the dish drainer, then sprayed it down with the hose. It's a miracle there was no flooding but he seemed to have it down to a science...

Get a bunch of those storage ottomans all over the house to hide your stuff when you do that MIL clean up. I have one in my living room and one in each of the kids bedrooms.

Love that idea! Super-efficient.
