No library so I’m looking to buy a few books to have for pesach.
I’m pretty open to genres though I do have a preference for mysteries.
Would appreciate any and all suggestions.

Just finished The two family house by Lynda Cohen loigman and it was really good. (Not a mystery)
Earlier in the summer I read a few really good books
The silent patient and the girl on the train.
Sorry these are not Jewish books.

Maybe You Should Talk to Someone by Lorie Gottlieb.
The Choice by Dr. Edith Eva Eger.
Best books I’ve ever read!

Holocaust is my typical genre.
I can recommend some of those.
Other books are those by Ronald Balsam-(some Holocaust, Israel/Arab..)
Beneath A Scarlet Sky was fabulous. I am awaiting the movie. (It is Holocaust adjacent)
Song of the Jade Lilly was also a Holocaust adjacent book which I thought was excellent.
I just read The Rent Collector, which I thought was a worthwhile read.
Adrianna Trigiani is a great lighter read.
I also would recommend Lost Girls of Paris and The Alice Network-but they are intense.
Currently reading If All The Seas Were Ink-which I imagine would be very controversial on this site.
And to think I used to hate reading and my parents would have to bribe me to open a book!

Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks is set during a plague, if you want topical reading.
Do you like cozy mysteries? There's the Armand Gamache series by Louise Penny. For something lighter, Ashley Weaver's Amory Ames series, or Ann Cleeves' books.
