Here’s a video showing tips on how to sanitize groceries brought into your house.
He mentions that he is doing this especially since he is bringing food to his older parents.
I am just segregating pantry items. Since the virus doesn’t live on paper or cardboard for more than 24 hours I am putting everything in the corner for a few days. Of course I am washing my hands thoroughly and the counter where the bags or packages were.

I can't believe people without OCD are suddenly taking on OCD-like tendencies.
The world must be coming to an end.

It is.
I am not an alarmist, but after the conversation I just had with one of the doctors I work with, I am really frightened.

He and others say to only grocery shop once every two weeks. Of course this means eating up leftovers, stuff in the freezer, the cans from the back of the pantry, etc.

Mah nishtanah? I call this "pre-Pesach downsizing" and it's SOP chez Zaq. To your gut, a breakfast of whole-wheat pasta isn't all that different from a breakfast of Wheaties.

I do that every so often in normal times, but now I have to go shopping three times as often and spend twice as much to get less than the normal amount of food I get.
I usually shop once a week or once every two weeks, plus an extra trip once a month to stock up on meat and dairy products from in-town.
Now the grocery store is out of almost all essentials, and I can't eat the house to empty because I can't rely on being able to restock.
