Even if there are is a large percentage of those under-50 with no underlying conditions being admitted to the hospital (which I'm not convinced of), the literal one and only thing scientists can seem to agree on about this disease is that it really doesn't kill young people. Take Italy for example, by far the hardest hit country. Only 2.7% of the deaths were people under 60.

A lot of younger people are in ICU. Doesn't mean they will die, but it DOES mean that the health system is being stretched by them until they recover, which can be WEEKS.

That is a significant part of the problem with this virus.

The other problems include a long incubation period; being contagious for days before being symptomatic; long-lasting on surfaces; the large number of asymptomatic cases; and our current lack of prevention or cure.

• Warm weather may cause the number of people catching the virus to go down dramatically. In general, these types of viruses are less active during the summer. This can give scientists extra time to work on treatments and vaccines.

• A vaccine is likely to be very effective because unlike influenza viruses, coronaviruses do not mutate much.

• The death rate, scary as it is, appears to be much lower as a percentage than the official stats simply because most people who have it have not been tested. (There is a shortage of tests.)

• Britain has lowered its estimates for the severity of the virus dramatically: https://www.dailywire.com/news.....-week

True, but the health system of Italy is most definitely stretched and young people still aren't dying. Now that could be due to healthcare rationing but the same way that people need to be vigilant about what they're doing, we definitely should not cause people to freak out about young people dying when they really aren't.
Plus being hospitalized doesn't mean they were in the ICU
