Not sending to my sheitel macher because she isn’t taking sheitels now because of the virus..
But my Sheitel desperately needs a clean! And I have zero clue what to do!
Any tips or advice ?

From my shaitel macher:

Brush shaitel very well.
Pin securely on styrofoam head.
Fill kvort with a lot (quarter bottle or so) of gentle shampoo and warm water. Mix with your hand
Pour over shaitel, then brush it through.
Pour warm water over shaitel until water runs clear.
Fill kvort with A LOT (half bottle) of cheap conditioner and warm water. Mix with your hand.
Pour over shaitel, slowly, brushing it through.
Let it sit for a few minutes.
Pour warm water over shaitel until water runs clear.

Stand shaitel head upright securely (some like to jam it over a wine bottle or similar) to dry.

Some shaitels will dry just fine, and don't need much setting. If yours does, you will need some kind of curlers.
If you're using heated curlers, let shaitel dry mostly (at least). Otherwise you can do it while wet.
Roll hair around curlers, about 150% more than you think it needs, and pin securely.
When you remove the curler after a few hours, part of the curl will fall out.
Similar with a curling iron.

Spray with hair spray, optionally massage biosilk or similar product through shaitel to keep hair soft and not frizzy.

Brush wig.
Hold the wig in the sink under warm running water.
Fill a washing cup with shampoo to cover the bottom. Then add warm water. Mix.
Dip the wig a couple of times to get it covered in shampoo. Pour rest of shampoo and water mix over the wig.
Wash the wig by placing it under warm running water in sink. Make sure the shampoo is all out.

You can do this 2-3 times depending how much your wig needs it.

Conditioner:
Fill to cover bottom of wash cup then add warm water. Mix a bit.
Dip wig in ONLY UNTIL THE TOP PART OF WIG. It’s like u shaped. I think it’s called the skin of the wig. Then pour rest of conditioner on wig, only till the skin part which again, is u shaped.
Let it sit in the wash cup for 15 minutes.
Then wash off conditioner under warm running water in sink. Make sure you get out all of conditioner.

Squeeze a bit of the wig not to have it soaking.
Place in a towel and wrap it and give a squeeze to dry it a bit.

Place it on foam head. Let it dry for about 24 hours.

Good luck!
