Tried looking this up online, but didn't find anything helpful.
My (young, otherwise healthy) dh has been experiencing heart palpitations for the past two days.
His other virus symptoms- fever, coughing, aches, etc. Were mild.
We are beginning to feel a little nervous about this- it is definitely not caused by stress or anxiety, but is an actual symptom. It is constant, and debilitating, though not painful.
Did anyone experience this?

dehydration can cause racing heart. when he sticks out his tongue does he have bubbles on it, like that it's wet. or is his tongue dry. it should have bubbles and be wet. make sure he is drinking enough. if it's the virus effecting his heart that is probably more serious. I would call his dr asap. But first check that he's hydrated.

Fever alone can cause a racing heartbeat.

Did he take anything?
The malaria drug they're testing now can cause irregular heart rhythms.
