Can someone Chasseedish please explain why they don't let babies look into mirrors? What's the source for it?
I was raised in a mostly Chasseedishe neighborhood and everyone was Makpid on it. I'm wondering what the reason is.
TIA!

We also asked and we were told its shtuss (we were given a baby mirror). (but not a chassidish rov ) I think actually my dh was more worried about stam looking in mirrors too much, throughout life, especially for a boy.
