Some docs believe that a high temperature may have the ability to destroy the virus so it might not be necessary to lower it unless it gets dangerously high of course.
What's important is to stay especially hydrated during that period.

Why not take Motrin. It's ibuprofen and also helps with fever and aches.

From what I have read, they no longer feel it is dangerous to take if you have Covid19

On the other hand, as others have posted, a fever is theoretically helpful in terms of fighting the infection unless it gets really high and dangerous.

If it's coronavirus, I heard that ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil) can worsen symptoms. There are not studies of course, because coronavirus is so new, but there is anecdotal evidence. Previous studies have shown ibuprofen to worsen respiratory infections. Refuah shaleimah!

Fever is a sign that your body is fighting something. If you take any fever reducers then your brain registers that there is no more infection to fight and your immune system doesn’t work to fight it naturally, which can make you sicker. If fever gets very high that it can be dangerous, a natural way to lower it is to put vinegar on a sock to wear on your feet and it reduces the fever. Taking showers isn’t good as it shocks your body temperature. Best way is to take a bath with very hot water (abt equal to your temperature now) and as the water cools down your body will naturally cool down slowly.
