The room my baby sleeps in just has a skylight so AC is not an option. I’m aware that split units don’t require windows but I’m not willing to invest that kind of money in a rental apartment. Her room gets really hot and stuffy. Any recommendations on fans or alternative options? ( I never leave the skylight open overnight in case it may rain)

Always leave the door open. A fan in the summer won't do much. I wouldn't have kids sleeping in a skylight room without AC.
