I'm thinking about a pet ant.
So cute.

Pros;
Cute
No food needed
No big cage
Inexpensive
Doesn't live long so no attachment issues

Cons;
Not lovable and doesn't love you back
Dies after 6 months
Crawls out of cage

How about a pet rock? Has all the pros and none of the cons.

And you can make it into a purse or belt if you decide you don't want it anymore.

Lol but you're gonna get it here...

(Hint; Animal cruelty)
(Hint #2; No jokes tolerated now. Everything is taken seriously.)

Some snakes are hermaphrodites. Buy one, end up with a whole family. I don't know if you count that as a positive or a negative.

I once heard about a pet onsteictor snake who got out and slid through the baby crib bars. You can imagine the ending

Their food might be gross, but it is kosher for Pesach

If we are already talking animal cruelty, there is nothing crueler than taking an animal and keeping it in a tiny cage.

Leave the poor snake alone. (Besides the fact I think they are gross to keep, but that's my own personal taste).

Turtles are scary.

Iā€™d rather get a snake.

I also think its gross but how can we say that? The snakes can suffer low self esteem if they hear this.

I'd go for ants. watch them build colonies. its fascinating and very low maintenance.

I'm lying. I'd watch any and alll animals /pets from my window.

I just want a dedicated screen and this amazing fish tank: https://dreamaquarium.com (or similar). I find kids to be plenty of maintenance for me, not looking for more work...

Pet snakes are very boring. Same for most reptiles really, but snakes are probably the most boring.

Once you've enjoyed the novelty factor, there's not a lot left.

For reptiles that use roughly the same size setup, but are somewhat more active, try lizards. Bearded dragons are usually very tame and impressive, though also still fairly inactive.
