If you'd have gone there in the past 2 years you would have seen many empty stores. Covid-19 might have been the nail in the coffin, but it's been a cadaver for a while now.

Right, they're heading towards bankruptcy for a while already. This is probably the last straw.

Lots of malls were in trouble way before covid-19. With the continued rise in on-line shopping, many malls are way past their heyday.
